Email signup form FAQ
Short answers grounded in the product. No invented customers, prices, or deliverability benchmarks.
What is Gather Sprout?
- Gather Sprout is email capture and audience software. You add an email signup form to a website with a snippet or a hosted page, confirmed signups go to the form's list, and you can follow up with campaigns and automations from the console.
How do I embed an email signup form?
- Sign in, open Websites, create a form, and copy its snippet onto the page. You can also share the form's hosted signup link if you do not want to embed HTML.
What if I have more than one website?
- Create a form for each signup source. Console forms receive separate lists named after the form by default; API configuration can route multiple forms to one list.
Where do the addresses go?
- Confirmed signups appear in Email list and are added to the form's configured destination list. Filter by that list when you want to isolate a source; all lists remain on your Gather Sprout account.
Does Gather Sprout send campaigns?
- Yes. Create a campaign in the console, pick the audience, and send it through your own connected mailbox (Gmail, Microsoft, or SMTP) with daily send caps and a consent preview before launch.
Does Gather Sprout do automations?
- Yes. Automations send emails when something happens — for example a welcome sequence when someone confirms a signup on one of your forms. Templates can be shared across automations or scoped to a single form.
How do I get help?
- Email [email protected] or raise a ticket from the console — contact-form and email messages all land in the same ticket queue, and replies come from [email protected] so you can reply back.
How much does Gather Sprout cost?
- Starter is $9 per month and Growth is $29 per month (USD, billed monthly via Stripe). The Free plan needs no credit card.
How does consent work?
- Each form shows a consent notice. New form signups confirm by email before they become subscribed, and they can unsubscribe.
What is double opt-in?
- Double opt-in means a new form or API signup stays pending until the person confirms by email. Gather Sprout enforces that for public form-endpoint captures. Confirmed addresses can then join the form's list; unconfirmed ones cannot become subscribed.
What is an email capture form?
- An email capture form, also called an email collection form, is a signup on a website or hosted page that collects an address into a list. Gather Sprout provides a snippet to embed and a hosted signup page. Confirmed signups join the form's list, and supplied page or referrer context is stored when the capture is accepted.
How is a Gather Sprout embed different from a Mailchimp embed form?
- Both are HTML you paste onto a page. A Gather Sprout snippet sends confirmed addresses to a Gather Sprout list with double opt-in and optional capture context — and the list you build is usable straight away for campaigns and automations in the same console.
Is there public documentation?
- Yes. Start at gathersprout.com/docs for getting started and website embeds.
